For over 16 years Mud Pies Pottery (formerly the Village Potter) has been blessed in producing functional & decorative stoneware pottery from the onsite studio connected to the retail shop in Salado. Home of the "Original Egg Baker or Egg Poacher" in the Central Texas area, numbering 5000+ since 1994 when the first ones were made as an order from a customer in Austin, the Egg Baker - Egg Poacher remains the number one seller besides the French Butter Dishes also customer inspired and Sir Wigglesworth's Homemade Fudge offering over 50 flavors year round!!


Additional pottery is now being produced from studios in Spring Branch (near San Antonio) and from the "Front Porch" in Navasota, Texas. Every piece is thrown by hand on the potter's wheel one piece at a time, and or formed on the slab roller to create unique & creative kitchenware for the use in the microwave, oven and dishwasher.


New glazes and colors are available at this time with new pieces being displayed monthly. The additional colors and designs offered are complimentary to any decor in your home with some special orders being accepted.

Now available at Mud Pies Pottery is the ever famous and sought after "Sir Wigglesworth's Homemade Fudge," formerly made and sold at Sir Wigglesworth's of Salado for over 17 years. With only the finest ingredients available of real butter and cream and local fresh pecans from Ken & Vera Gerstenberg , our Texas fudge is hand made, poured, and garnished in the Fudge Kitchen. New flavors are always being produced.


Fudge orders can be shipped to you anywhere from our Texas fudge kitchen, order early for Christmas Please!! All of the Fudge is $17.95 a pound, except for Sucrose-Free Fudge that is for Diabetics who may have fruit. Boxes: Small box fits one flavor, Large box holds two squares (two flavors)
